CADCraft
Open-source drafting software in the style of AutoCAD, written in Rust
CADCraft follows the AutoCAD workflow: type a command, click points and draw. It works with the command line, object snaps, layers, dimensions, hatches, blocks and DXF drawings, and runs natively on macOS, Windows, Linux and FreeBSD and in the browser through WebAssembly.
Highlights
- Paper-space layouts with viewports, page setups and plotting to PDF
- Hatches, multileaders, tables and TrueType multiline text
- Architectural and mechanical examples, such as an apartment plan and a bracket drawing with section hatches
- Agent, MCP and command-line interfaces
It also embeds fonts, including ones for Japanese and Arabic text.
Good to know: the ArtCraft name and logos are trademarks of the ArtCraft team and are not covered by the open-source license, so forks must remove them. The code itself is released under Apache-2.0.
