EffectCraft
EffectCraft
Open-source motion graphics and compositing in Rust
EffectCraft is a compositor in the spirit of Adobe After Effects. You build compositions from layers such as solids, shapes, text and footage, animate their properties with keyframes, stack effects and render the result. The authors call it young but already usable.
Highlights
- 306 effects, layer styles and expressions
- 3D cameras and lights
- A render queue for exporting
- Built-in Lottie import and export, so animations can go straight to the web and apps
- A project file format designed to be human-readable
It uses familiar After Effects panels, such as Project, Composition, Timeline, Effect Controls and Effects and Presets, and runs natively on macOS, Windows and Linux as well as in the browser.
Good to know: the ArtCraft name and logos are trademarks of the ArtCraft team and are not covered by the open-source license, so forks must remove them. The code itself is released under Apache-2.0.
