Piwigo

Piwigo is a mature, self-hosted photo and media management platform built in PHP, purpose-built for organizations and individuals who need to catalog and share tens or hundreds of thousands of images. Running continuously since 2002, it organizes photos into unlimited nested albums with tags, geolocation, and EXIF-based metadata, supports uploads from FTP or desktop tools like digiKam and Lightroom, and offers fine-grained user permissions for controlling who can view or contribute to a gallery. A library of more than 200 community plugins and themes lets Piwigo installations range from a simple family photo archive to a full digital asset manager for a 30-person team.
