A full pixel-art animation studio quietly built inside a game engine

Pixelorama is a free pixel art multitool built entirely on top of the Godot game engine, offering sprite drawing, tile mapping, and animation authoring in one accessible package. Its animation timeline supports cel-level editing across layers and frames with onion skinning, frame tags, and the ability to draw while a preview plays back, while dedicated algorithms like cleanEdge, OmniScale, and rotxel handle pixel-accurate scaling and rotation that generic image editors get wrong. Maintained by Orama Interactive with 80+ community contributors, it runs natively on Windows, macOS, and Linux, plus a browser-based version, and remains free forever under the MIT license.
